2022-23 Season
Welcome to our 20th anniversary season–20 years since Madison Boychoir and Madison Children’s Choir became Madison Youth Choirs! We’re so pleased you will be part of our singing community this season!
Steps for enrolling:
- review the invitation email you received with your singer’s choir placement, tuition information, due dates, and registration password
- complete the member registration form
- pay the $50 deposit or submit your application for tuition assistance to reserve your singer’s seat by August 1.
- Enjoy your summer! Our first rehearsals are September 10/11 – your entire season calendar is linked here

Tuition and Refund Information
2022-23 tuition remains unchanged from last season:
Choraliers, Con Gioia, Purcell, and Britten: $550
Holst and Capriccio: $580
Cantilena, Cantabile, and Ragazzi: $610
A $50 deposit is required with your registration to reserve your seat on the roster. Your tuition balance (total tuition less the deposit) may be paid in full this summer, or paid in two installments with your final payment due November 20:
- Payment 1 (half remaining) due September 11, 2022
- Payment 2 (half remaining) due November 20, 2022
Please contact the MYC office if you would like to set up an alternate payment plan–we are always happy to work with you!
Tuition may be paid by check and mailed to MYC, 1055 E Mifflin Street, Madison, WI 53703 or via credit card on our payment portal (additional fees apply).
Tuition Assistance
The application for tuition assistance is linked here. Please submit your assistance application after you register for the season.
Refund Policy
The deposit made to reserve your seat for the 2022-23 season is refundable until July 31, 2022. After that date, if you cancel participation, your deposit will not be refunded. Tuition is refundable, less the $50 deposit, through September 30. This provides each singer the opportunity to attend the first month of MYC without financial risk. If you cancel participation after September 30, tuition for the entire season is still due.

Archived Weekly Notes
All registered MYC members receive a weekly email each Thursday throughout the season from MYC. This email is designed to keep you informed and is the primary way we communicate important and essential information relevant to your membership and the MYC community. Please make a habit of reading the Weekly Notes email when it arrives in your inbox! If you don’t find it in your inbox, please read it via the archive.
Concert Wardrobe
MYC singers wear concert black wardrobe for performances and can either provide their own pieces or rent from MYC for $30/season. Please read through the MYC Concert Wardrobe slide deck for guidance on what is considered concert black wardrobe at MYC and contact us with any questions.
Once you’ve made your decision on whether to provide your own pieces or rent from MYC, please complete the Wardrobe Commitment Form.
Choir Calendars
You can see the rehearsal and performance schedule for the entire season via the choir calendars. If you are a Google calendar user, please subscribe to your choir calendar(s) by clicking the “plus” sign in the lower right corner of the calendar you are viewing.
Report an Absence
Thank you for completing the absence form when your singer will not be at rehearsal (for whatever reason). We take attendance at every rehearsal and will call a parent/guardian if a singer is not checked in and we haven’t heard they will be absent. We do this for safety reasons.
We have a large community of singers! Completing the absence form is the quickest way for MYC staff (including conductors) to know who will be absent in any given week.
