Designed to meet the needs of both beginning and experienced musicians, our introductory choir sessions provide our youngest singers the opportunity to explore vocal technique, music theory, and rehearsal skills in a small class environment designed to develop their skills and prepare them for singing in a larger group ensemble with confidence.
Have you ever wanted to work on a solo, but you’ve not been sure where to begin? You haven’t taken private lessons, but really want to gain confidence to sing a solo or carry your part in a small group? We can help! Choosing a piece, working on it, and performing it is not just for those taking private lessons – it’s for everyone!

Want to sing with MYC for our 2024-2025 season starting next fall? We want to meet with you and hear your voice so we can place you in the choir where you will have the best experience. These placement appointments are essentially voice checks and take only about 10 minutes.
Let’s refine our knowledge of musical “building blocks” together! Are you a high school musician who has some “holes” in your knowledge about musical notation? Want to sharpen your music-reading skills, learn about chords and musical forms, and fill-in-your gaps? This class is for you!
Are you currently studying education (music or otherwise) or considering studying it in college? This summer, join MYC’s 2024 future educators cohort! This short but intense experience is for anyone thinking about or currently studying music education or another area in education.
