What’s the deal with a capella singing? What is it, anyway?
Join a NEW MYC choir this summer, led by MYC alum Simon Johnson, for a two-week dive into the exciting world of a capella (think Pentatonix). We’ll learn some original arrangements of popular hits, improve our a capella singing techniques. From solos to back up to beatboxing, we’ll take a behind-the-scenes look at the multi-dimensional process of a capella arranging.
This class is great for both those with limited a capella experience and experts hoping to pursue it after high school and beyond!
A capella singing/arranging meets at MYArts, 1055 E Mifflin Madison 53703 –
- July 27-30 (M-Thurs), 6:30-8:00pm
- August 3-5 (M-Wed), 6:30-8:00pm
- August 6 (Thurs), 6:30-8:00pm; Join us for the last 30 minutes for an informal concert open to families and friends.
Tuition is $225 and financial assistance is available. Please complete and submit the assistance application included in the registration process.
REFUND POLICY
- Cancellation 30 days or more prior to the start of class: full tuition will be refunded.
- Cancellation 15-30 days prior to the start of class: 50% tuition will be refunded.
- Tuition becomes 100% nonrefundable 14 days before class begins for your chosen session.
